About the Island
The “Garden Isle” of Kauai is the oldest populated island in the 1800-mile long Hawaiian Island chain. This is a tropical paradise where volcanic cliffs soar above a lush mantle of green…where ribbon waterfalls cascade along velvety canyon walls and rare blossoms fill the air with sweet fragrance. It boasts the greatest number of beaches (40) per mile of coastline of all of the Hawaiian Islands and has been the spectacular backdrop of dozens of films from “South Pacific” to “Jurassic Park”. It is an island of beautiful contrasts—from the sugar cane fields and dense tropical foliage covering stunning peaks to desert-like Waimea Canyon—the Grand Canyon of Hawaii. Hiking trails for those of all skill levels and pristine ivory beaches await you. Be sure to visit the unbelievably beautiful Napili Coast by boat or helicopter. Golf at three of Hawaii’s top rated courses…ride a horse to a remote waterfall…cruise to the famous Fern Grotto…or take in a romantic sunset. Kauai has it all for you to enjoy.
