Computer Requirements

You will need Macromedia Flash Player 6,0,79 and up to view the video and listen to the audio. This free plug-in can be downloaded from Macromedia's Website.

You will also need Adobe Reader to download and print the PDF handouts. This free program can be downloaded from Adobe's Website.

A printer is required if you would like to print the PDF slide handouts.

You must be connected to the internet to view the online lectures and complete the post-test. Materials other than the pdf handouts are not downloadable. A high speed connection is highly recommended.

Instructions

  1. WATCH DEMO: First view the Presentation Demo before registering. Make sure you can view this presentation and hear the audio components. If you experience problems make sure your computer meets the requirements listed above. If you still experience problems email us at cemail@pharmacy.wisc.edu.
  2. REGISTER: Once you have successfully viewed the course introduction, click on "Register for Potential Influenza Pandemic ". Log-in with your CE user account. If you are new to the CE portal please register now. Enter your credit card information to complete the registration process. If your credit card is accepted your registration is complete.
  3. WATCH PRESENTATION: Once you have registered and paid you will have access to the course materials found to the right, below Course Materials. Select "Lecture Presentation".
  4. READ ADDITIONAL RESOURCES / MATERIALS: These items are found within the folder under Course Materials.
  5. TAKE POST-TEST: After studying/viewing the course materials, select the" Post-Test for Avian Influenza" link. Complete on-line and submit answers. You must achieve a minimum score of 70% correct. In the event your score is below 70%, you will be provided with an option to “retake” the post-test by changing the previously recorded response(s).
  6. COMPLETE EVALUATION: Upon successful completion of the Post-Test, select “Evaluation for Avian Influenza”. Complete and submit evaluation responses.
  7. VIEW RESULTS: You will then be able to view your successful post-test responses and score.
  8. PRINT CERTIFICATE: Select “View Certificate”. Print your Statement of Credit (verifying successful completion) to your printer.
